Today I’m moving to Madrid at 5:00 PM taking the spanish high-speed train (AVE) and I’ll be there in 2 hours and a half. I’ll have problems connecting to this website until next saturday, when finally I will move to my new flat (with a WiFi connection waiting for me). Hoy me traslado a Madrid a las 5 de la tarde cogiendo nuestro querido tren de alta velocidad española (AVE) y estaré allí en unas 2 horas y media. Voy a tener ciertos problemas para conectarme a esta página hasta el próximo sábado, día en el que finalmente me mude a mi nuevo piso (con una conexión WiFi esperándome). Hasta entonces, no me echéis mucho de menos (Lo cual es más fácil de hacer que de decir).

I did it… I finally get the job I was dreaming my whole life: work making videogames in one of the most important companies here in Spain… Pyro Studios, creators of the whole Commandos Saga, Praetorians and Imperial Glory. Maybe those games are not the best you can find in a game store, but they are with difference the best you can find made by a Spanish company. I start working there next wednesday as Jr. Game Designer… f****ng perfect. Anyway, I will never stop experimenting with Hammer Editor. In fact, I’ll use Hammer Editor and the SDK-Project style as a tool in my new job to ilustrate some of my ideas, although Source is not their prefered engine there. Pity!

Lo conseguí… finalmente conseguí el trabajo con el que había soñado toda mi vida: trabajar creando videojuegos es una de las compañías más importantes aquí en España… Pyro Studios, creadores de la saga entera de Commandos, Praetorians e Imperial Glory. Tal vez estos juegos no sean de los mejores que puedas encontrar en una tienda de videojuegos, pero son con diferencia los mejores que puedes encontrar hechos por una compañía española.. Comienzo a trabajar el próximo miércoles en el rol de Diseñador de Juegos Junior… jodidamente perfecto. De todas formas, nunca dejaré de experimentar con el Hammer Editor. De hecho usaré el editor y el estilo SDK-project como herramienra en mi nuevo trabajo para ilustrar algunas de mis ideas, aunque el motor Source no sea su preferido allí. ¡Cachis!
This new feature open a new Universe of possibilities for SDK-Project or any Hammer-made Mod. I have been looking for the answer on how to create a third person view of the main character which you could actually move around the map, instead using balls, vehicles or physics objects, and finally I found it mixing some CFGs, game_ui and parenting a model to the player. Looks stupid, but stupidity is the root of every amazing result I finally got experimenting with Hammer. Now, in this way, it’s possible to create quite easily adventure-horror mods, graphical adventures, platform games… as I said, a new Universe of possibilities which was hidden inside Hammer Editor’s Input/Output System.

Remember how several weeks ago I had a problem with another foozball game? I don’t want to remember either. I just think how to help a bunch of friends who wants to take a place in such a hard videogames world like this is. For that reason, here is my little help.
