I’m glad…

… that’s true. I’m glad of finishing a relation with such a selfish and inmature human being as she was. I’m glad because I really hesitate that I could meet another person worst than she was. I’m glad of having more time for me and for my projects which will help me in my future and my career, not like you. I’m glad you didn’t think in all the consequences of betraying my confidence in you…

… now you are alone. Even when you feel that you’re not… definitely , you are. Thanks for teaching me how whore a woman can be. That’s the most precious gift you left me in one whole year.

… and of course. I’m glad I don’t have to pay anymore your food, your subway’s tickets, your caprices or your rent. Now you have another puppet to do that for you. I’m glad that now I can save some money.

Because of that and the 24 hours depression you caused me (Because you didn’t deserved more) , I’m moving this weekend to Seville, my home, to spend some good moments with the people who really cares about me: my friends and my family. No projects and media until the next weekend. Be happy for me mates! Now I have plenty of time for my mods, games and experiments.

Thanks to all of you for supporting me all this time. See all of you in monday!

Inspired by Hammer’s muse… ^^

I’ve been adjusting a few things in my “guitar mod” in this last hours and, suddenly, I felt how a muse touched me… in my Guitar Hero controller (What did you think… you cheeky!). Then I started to practice some “famous” songs. Results in the following video:

Now it’s time for Virtual Guitar…

No, this is not a Guitar Hero clone… although I used Guitar Hero’s controller to work in this new experiment. As I did in Virtual Drums, this simulation allows you to play a full scale of notes using just a few keys. In this case, using 4 keys you can play 10 notes. That means 4 keys alone and combinations of two between all of them. In case you don’t have a Guitar Hero controller, it can be played like my favourite Guitar Hero PC clone: Frets on Fire. Using the keyboard like this:

This is just the begining mates. I have to add more sounds and correct some bugs, but it works perfectly. I’m working now on guitar effects (Distorted, acoustic, somthing else…) and increasing the scale. Check this video to see how a Guitar Hero controller can be used in this mod (Remember kids, no C++ code at all! – I didn’t say that for a long time. ^^).

Can you recognize the song? Hehehe…

PS: To connect a PS2 controller to any PC, you need THIS thing called Super Dual Box Pro

Be a Virtual Drummer now!

You can download my latest experiment from the following links:

* GooglePages – MIRROR 1

* AddonDB – MIRROR 2

Everything you need to run the map is packed inside the BSP file. Also the .vmf map is in the .rar file. Enjoy!

IMPORTANT: It will work properly JUST IN EPISODE 2! (So buy an Orange Box right now if you don’t have it!)

Virtual Drums Released!

Virtual Drums… experimenting, but with rythm!

Bank holidays in Spain… Perfect time to enjoy doing what I like … crash Hammer Editor again and again. Before, I prefered to use it to make some maps, or create a new mod, but this new feature doesn’t give me another chance. We all know that Valve is used to screw our beloved SDK everytime they release a new important update, and I still remember that the Episode 1 update was even worst. So, congratulations Valve! ^^

As Linkin Park said: “What I’ve done?”… well, this time it’s a “Drummer simulator”. I started not so long ago a “Virtual Piano”, but I found it was so hard to fit all the keys in a PC keyboard. While I was looking for an answer… I got tired. This time is different, this took me one day to finish it. The final result it’s exactly what I was expecting… but was dissapointing when I realized I wasn’t the incredible drummer I thought I was, as you can see in the video below. I’ll try to release it tomorrow, because there is no more to do in this experiment. Enjoy!

New SDK… new features… new problems?

Things that I like from the new SDK:

1.) Prop_scalable: Oh Yessss! I was waiting for that since Half-Life!

2.) New env_screeneffect: Groggy vision… wtf? I have to try it!

3.) More fake volumetric light models! ^^

4.) Env_sprite_oriented: I wasn’t waiting for that, but I’m glad they included it. ^^

5.) More options for thirdperson view! (I love specially thirdperson_platformer)

6.) Func_reflective_glass !!! HELL YEEEEAAAAH !!!

6.) … sure there are many more.

Things I don’t like from the new SDK:

1.) Don’t modify the interface! Just add things, but don’t move anything! (This is about the entities window)

2.) I want the particle system editor now!

3.) I want the real time lighting preview now!

4.) Crashed 50% of the times I’d tried to run model browser inside Hammer. (Bittersweet old times…)

5.) BTW… Hammer crashed around 10 times in just one hour. ¬¬

6.) When you (Valve) release a new version of SDK, at least check if the new commands works: I desperately need r_flashlightoffsetx and z working. For some strange reason, y axis works… ¬¬.

7.) Sure there are many many many more…

Iré subiendo nuevos conforme me vayan viniendo fuerzas… ;)

Now I cannot stop thinking with Portals…

I’m a Portal freak. So, I guess I’m kind of normal right now. Everybody is in love with Portal and I haven’t met a single person who doesn’t like Portal’s concept. Everything behind it is brilliant and I hope someday a new chapter of Chell and her Weighted Companion Cube’s adventures will be released. Meanwhile, I’m fighting against my thirst of Portals since I finished the game with freak stuff, like T-Shirts, YouTube videos of bizarre speedruns and papercraft patterns… yep, papercraft. I LOVE IT.

This is my last piece of papercraft art, extracted from HERE. I spent about 3 hours making it, but it’s worth lost time.

I also started with the Weighted Companion Cube papercraft, which you can see in the left side of the picture, but it will take a bit more than the other one. The patter is hard and it requires more time, but the result is awesome. I love the Companion Cube!

By the way… searching for Portal’s pics in Google’s image search engine I found myself with Vek from Lithium-Project in a memorable photo we took when we first try our Portal T-Shirts from Valve Store:

Yep… and a freak… so what? ^^
